Al Layah Tours Luxury Car Rental - Terms and Conditions
Online Payment Policy:
To ensure security and transparency, all online payments must be made using the individual’s personal credit or debit card. If a different payment method is used, the service may not be awarded.
Privacy Policy:
At Al Layah Tours, we are committed to providing a seamless and secure booking experience. We collect essential information such as your name, email address, and mobile number to ensure accurate and timely service. For car rental bookings, we may also require additional documents to complete the registration process with the RTA and our providers’ portal. Please note that Al Layah Tours does not store any payment data; all transactions are securely handled by our payment gateway provider and your corresponding bank.
Invoicing and Payment Terms:
- Rental Periods: All rentals are calculated on a 24-hour basis. For example, a one-day rental starting at 9 am must be returned by 9 am the next day. Late returns, such as at 5 pm the following day, will result in an extra day’s charge.
- Payment: Invoices are issued on the day of pick-up and must be settled in full immediately. A fee of 7 AED will be charged upon the release of the deposit.
- Extensions: If you wish to extend your rental period, please inform us at least 12 hours in advance. Extensions must be prepaid and will be charged according to the seasonal daily rates. If payment is not received, the extension will not be valid.
Cancellation Policy:
Once payment is processed, bookings cannot be canceled. Refunds will not be issued, as reserved vehicles are blocked from other potential bookings.
Drivers and Licensing Requirements:
- Age Requirement: Drivers must be at least 21 years old to rent a vehicle.
- License: A valid international or local driving license is required. Some local licenses may not be accepted, and our team will verify the validity of your license before rental.
- Driving Conditions: Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited and voids any insurance claims, making you liable for damages. It is your responsibility to ensure compliance with UAE driving laws.
Mileage Usage:
Our offer includes a maximum usage based on the kilometers stated in your contract, typically 250 KM per day. Additional usage will be charged at a rate of AED 5-10 per KM, depending on the vehicle.
Salik (Toll Charge) and Traffic Fines:
- Salik Charges: The Salik toll will be charged at the actual toll amount (typically Aed 4-6), plus an AED 1 service fee, and VAT on the service fee component.
- Traffic Fines: Traffic fines will be charged at the actual fine amount, plus an AED 50 service fee, and VAT on the service fee component. If a fine results in the car being impounded, an additional fee ranging from AED 100 to 500 will be charged. You will be required to pay these amounts immediately upon notification.
Car Rental
Additional Driver Policy:
If you wish to include an additional driver in your rental agreement, a fee of AED 150 will be applied for each additional driver. This fee is required to cover the administrative costs and to ensure that all drivers are covered under the rental terms and insurance. The additional driver must also meet the same age and licensing requirements as the primary driver.
General Terms:
- Accidents and Repairs: If you are at fault in a car crash, you will be responsible for paying an amount specified in your contract towards the cost of repairs at an authorized agency workshop. This is in addition to the daily rental charges for the duration the vehicle is under repair. If you have opted for CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) insurance and are found at fault, you will still be responsible for the daily rental charges during the repair period.
- Contract Termination: In the event of a car crash, regardless of fault, the rental contract will be canceled with no refunds or car replacements. You must contact the police and file a report immediately.
- Speed Limit: Exceeding the speed limit of 160 km/h more than three times will result in a penalty of AED 2,000 on the fourth violation, and termination of the contract with no refund on the fifth. The vehicle will be shut down upon contract termination.
- Prohibited Activities: Driving in the desert, racing, drifting, and reckless driving are strictly prohibited. A violation will result in a charge of AED 100,000, in addition to the cost of repairs for any mechanical damage.
- Tire Damage: Tire damage is not covered by basic insurance or CDW coverage, and the customer is responsible for replacement or repair costs.
- Early Return: No refunds apply for vehicles returned before the end of the rental period.
- Vehicle Condition: Returning a car with scratches will result in a minimum charge of AED 2,000 per scratch. A fee of AED 500 will be charged for excessively dirty interiors.
- Fines and Surcharges: A 3% charge applies to fines paid online by Al Layah Tours, with an additional AED 70 fine surcharge. For fines that cannot be paid online, a minimum charge of AED 1,000 applies, with additional charges for impounding. An extra surcharge of AED 1 applies to each Salik charge and 3% on credit card payments.
- Accidents Involving Multiple Vehicles: If an accident involves two or more vehicles from Al Layah Tours, the contract will be terminated immediately with no refunds, and CDW insurance coverage will not apply. Each customer will be charged AED 100,000, plus repair costs.
- Marketing Materials: Sticking any marketing materials, such as stickers or wrapping paper, on our vehicles is strictly prohibited. Violations will result in a charge of AED 100,000.
- Documentation: The customer is responsible for taking photos or videos of the vehicle when receiving and returning it to our team.
Modification of Terms and Conditions:
Al Layah Tours reserves the right to modify, amend, or update these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Customers are encouraged to review the terms and conditions periodically to stay informed of any changes.
Al Layah Tours reserves the right to terminate the contract if any of the above terms are violated.
